Opal

 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This was my first thought at the end of this book. My eyes bugged out, my mouth dropped wide open, my hands clenched my book in a death grip.

To say that it was a cliffhanger would be a major understatement. I have been left in awe of Jenn Armentrout as usual. Her ability to pull me into her story world of hot alien boys and mutated human girls, still sways me even after three books. Probably because she's good like that.

But GOD! I don't think I can wait for the next book!

Opal essentially begins where Onyx left off, there's tension between good friends, mistrust amongst themselves and generally a seemingly hopeless plan for normality. But NO, Daedalus is NOT finished with them, are they? Nope, not at all. Those backstabbing a-holes have dirty scheming plans up there sleeves, and at the end, the apprehension of it all was stuck in my chest.

To all those Daemon and Katy fans, there's too many heart stopping and blood heating moments to count.

“When his lips met mine, a thousand emotions erupted in me. His taste was delicious and addictive. I pressed against him, our kisses deepening until I was swimming in heady sensations that beat against every pore in my body. Everywhere we touched my skin came alive. His lips trailed a fiery path from mine to the column of my throat. All around us, his light flickered, like a thousand stars lining the walls, fading in and out.”

But don't take my word for it- take Daemon's:

 “My lips change lives, baby.”

Yes, Daemon, I'm sure they do.

Among all the steamy kisses and witty banter, I noticed a lot of character development. We see a new side of Daemon as well, a softer side. And a different side of Katy; gone is the girl who will be the bystander, this girl will fight for what she believes in.

Opal didn't leave me feeling whole at the end, but instead lit my nerves on fire and has set me waiting anxiously for the next book, Origin. However, to not read Opal would put you seriously out of the loop!

So read it, grind your teeth, and join the rest of us Daemon fans in the wait for Origin ;)

 Kisses,
