Hi, All! It's Fire :) With her first review on the latest book in the Existence series.
Ceaseless by Abbi Glines
Having already read the first two books in the series, I wasn't sure how much more Abbi could add to the story of Death and the Girl who stole his heart. All I can say is WOW. This book is probably the best third book continuation I've read in awhile. I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Abbi!
I have to say that I was nervous about even reading Ceaseless when I read the synopsis and realized that Pagan would lose all her memories of Dank and that soul mate Jay would be around. Who wouldn't be horrified?? (I mean, forget Dank? How is that even possible??). I figured it would end up like all those other books we've loved. You know, where the author adds an extra book and messes with the characters and skews the storyline and ends up making fans super pissed.
I have to say this is not the case! Pagan's reactions during the story were believable and relatable. Every scene was well executed, and the timing was perfect. Nothing felt too rushed or seriously slowed down. I have to say I was not disappointed! I was so engrossed in this book that I couldn't put it down!
In Ceaseless, the point of view's are spilt even more than in the two books before it. We see a lot more of Dank's thoughts and feelings and it makes it a lot easier to feel the tension of him trying to win Pagan over again. Just when I thought it wasn't possible to love him even more, this book made me fall in love with Dank all over again!
So what will it be? Will Pagan fall in love with Dank once more? Is there really a future for them together? Read the final book in the Existence trilogy and find out!
You won't regret it!
